OUR INSTRUCTIONS TO PURCHASERS OF PLANTS

Order Early. By placing the order early you are assured of get-
ting just what the order calls for. This is often not the case with late
orders.

10% Gash Discoant. You also get a io% cash discount on
all orders accompanied by cash with order that reaches us on or before
March ist, 1927.

How To Ship. Express is most satisfactory on all large orders
when the distance is far. Parcel Post is OK on all orders in the ist,
2nd and 3rd zones, and all small orders of a few hundred plants. See
Parcel Post rates under price list.

Ho'w To Remit. Money Order, Registered Letter, or Check
Do not send loose currency. We will ship C.O.D. when one-third cash
accompanies the order.

Time Of Shipment. We commence to ship plants October ist
and ship all winter to sections where the conditions are suitable for fall
and winter planting, and up to May ist. We will fill orders up to May
15th, but at purchaser's risk only after May ist. We also fill a limited
amount of orders during September at 50 per cent, above list prices
This to accommodate our customers only.

25 Plants. All strawberry plants are tied twenty-five to a bundle
and labeled. We make no extra charge for packing.

Troe-To-Name. We use every precaution to have all plants
true-to-name, but in case a mistake should occur, it is agreed that we
are not to be responsible for a greater sum than the cost of the stock
should any prove otherwise than labeled. We do not have one com-
plaint on this line in filling 100,000 orders.

Claims. It your order is delayed an unusual time in transit, care-
fully examine plants before accepting same from the Transportation Co.,
have a notation marked on your E.vpress bill showing damage due you.
Prompdy return this Receipt to us and we will refill the order and make
claim on the carrier. A notice is mailed every customer the day ship-
ment is made. Don't fail to call for plants promptly when notified.

Last Bnt Not Least. Prepare your land where plants are to be
set as early as possible and have plants on hand ready to set when the
day comes. Ninety-nine out of a hundred early plantings will prove
successful if well planted and cultivated.

PLEASE DONT FORGET

To send us a list of the names of your friends who you think might be interested in TOWNSENDS'
HIGH-GRADE PLANTS. Think up a good list this time. We will see that you get plenty extra plants to
more than pay you for your time in writing these names below.
